Sherry Su
Sherry Su is a director of orchestras at Curtis Middle School. Ms. Su graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She was awarded the Meadows Artistic Merit Scholarship as well as university merit scholarships. While at SMU, Ms. Su studied violin with Diane Kitzman, member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she performed with the Meadows Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Paul Phillips. After graduation, Ms. Su managed her own private violin studio and served as the teacher assistant for the Curtis Middle School orchestra. Ms. Su found enthusiasm for education as a TA, which prompted her to attain a teaching certificate. In her student years, Ms. Su participated in area youth orchestras, most notably, the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. As a graduate of Plano West Senior High School in Plano TX, Ms. Su had the honor of performing with the Plano West Symphony Orchestra named TMEA Honor Orchestra in 2018. She has also participated in TMEA all-region and all-area orchestras. In her free time, Ms. Su enjoys trying new restaurants and roaming the metroplex.
